These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Thrivelob, accessible at https://thrivelob.co.za (“the Platform”). By using the Platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Nature of the Platform
Thrivelob is an information aggregation service. We publish opportunity listings sourced from public domain materials, employer submissions, and government circulars. We do not:
- Guarantee employment or successful placement.
- Act as a recruitment agency as defined under South African law.
- Represent or act on behalf of any employer listed on the Platform.
2. Accuracy of Listings
While we make every effort to verify and update listings, we cannot guarantee that information is always accurate, complete, or current. Closing dates, salaries, and vacancy details may change at the employer’s discretion. Always verify details directly with the employer or the original source before applying.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Systematically scrape, crawl, or harvest listing data without written permission.
- Use the Platform to send unsolicited communications to employers or applicants.
- Misrepresent yourself or any third party in connection with an application.
- Circumvent any security or access control measures.
4. Intellectual Property
The Thrivelob brand, logo, platform design, and editorial content are owned by Thrivelob and protected by South African copyright law. Opportunity listing text may originate with third-party employers and remains their property. You may share individual listing URLs but may not reproduce full listing content without written permission.
5. Links to Third-Party Sites
The Platform links to employer websites, DPSA portals, and other external resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party site.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY SOUTH AFRICAN LAW.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and applicable South African law, Thrivelob shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform or reliance on any listing.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
